Hello My name is Bill

Posted in Group:

Im 45 years old now and Aug.28 2009 I had a double brain aneureysm that burst and after an ambulance trip to hospital and then a medi-vac helicopter ride to another hospital to the head trauma unit where I had brain surgery maving the aneureysm clipped.
Im still not able to work or drive and feel Ive lost all independance thank god my mom now was able to take me in otherwise I have no clue where id be. Ive sort of looked fcor support groups in my area but not being able to drive has lead me to searching here and Im hoping Ive found a good group here. Today Ive just signed up and I hope to hear other stories that may help me keep my positive attitude I DO HAVE now but really want to keep.
Its so hard Im the type that when bored and what not in the past Id get in my car that ive fully customized into a wonderful show car and just drive or go walk to mall or something and YES mom is great and gets me where I want to go and when but still the independance of just getting up and doing it are gone.
I wish nothing but the best to everybody here and also feel free to contact me as I would love to lend an ear or speak with anyone willing to share thoughts and ideas. thank you for listening
Bill

I am not a part of this particular group, but I wanted to welcome you to the site! There are many other men and woman on the site that are dealing with issues relating to brain injuries and traumas, so I am sure you will be able to meet many support buddies on here.

Again welcome, if you ever need someone to talk to I am only a message away.

Blessings-
CK
